Via X Giornate and Zanardelli Avenue are the main commercial streets of downtown Brescia in northern Italy, less than 100 km from Milan. It is the place where you will find the most important local and international shops. Among these is 'Via X Giornate - Orologi da collezione', a shop of antique and collection watches. It serves a luxury clientele, often coming from abroad. The new space has been organized to be entirely visible from the public portico. The ambience aims to be exclusive and strongly emotional. The watches are exposed in niches excavated in two volumes made of inner lighted onyx, designed to exalt the uniqueness of the pieces and the place. A cor-ten steel staircase, made up of juxtaposed cave boxes, leads to the first floor, where a studio and a laboratory are located. The essential design of the space and the objects is enriched by some works of art by Andy Warhol and Mario Schifano, which can be directly seen from the public portico as well.
